Custom Basic Etsy Shop Design Set Giveaway!

Sorry for the delay, have been dealing with some things at home. Since our Facebook Fan Page reached 50 fans, I promised to do a little giveaway. I'm giving away a Custom Basic Etsy Shop Design Set!! That's right, I'm giving it away. This package sells for $15 in my store. All you need to do to enter to win is comment here, on this post, with your favorite design style. Modern, Shabby Chic, Elegant, Classic, Scrappy, you name it. I want to know what you like to see in set designs. That's all there is to it. In one week, on August 9th, I will do a random drawing to pick a winner. Simple, easy peasy!

Good Luck to you all!!

Just Breathe...

I'm currently working on designing my first digital scrapbooking kit. I just finished a sample layout with the kit as it is so far, and I'm really pleased with how it is turning out. I can't wait to get it all finished. I joined Amanda Rockwell's Designer Studio, and I'm so impressed with all of the tutorials and information on how to design all the pieces that go into a digi kit. If you are thinking about getting into designing either for yourself or to start your own digi scrap store, I highly recommend this site. Without further ado... here's the first layout from what is going to become the very first KC Leigh Designs mini kit.

My layouts were featured...

In the blog over at DigiridooScraps.com! How totally exciting! I'm just giddy about this. Check out their blog to see. Just finished this calender challenge layout up also. Thanks for looking!

I'm still here...

Sorry I haven't posted anything new lately. I'm still around but I have a little boy who has bronchitis and I myself have come down with a touch of a cold. I've been doing some digiscrapping in my free time, trying to learn the processes behind the art. I am really enjoying committing my memories to "paper" and seeing the finished project. It's truly an art form. There are so many talented scrappers out there, I'm sure my work will look novice and totally inferior, but the only way to learn is to do, right? So here's some layouts I've completed this week for some of the challenges over at DigiridooScraps.com/forum. Thanks for looking!!

Most of the kits used in these layouts can be found at DigiridooScraps.com.

I got a new computer... Well new to me anyway!

I got a new (to me) computer this weekend! It's got double the memory I had before and double the storage! I'm so thrilled to be able to work without one program bogging down the other. Now I can get so much more done so much faster! Today I've gotten 2 new Etsy Premade Design Sets finished and listed, you can find them at kcleighdesigns.etsy.com or click over to my Shop Tab... Here's the set designs.

Hopefully my son will cooperate long enough for me to get at least one more listed tonight... Keeping my fingers crossed on that one.

Crayon Rainbows! My first Digiscrapping Paper Packs!

Finished these up this morning. They are now listed in my Etsy shop www.kcleighdesigns.etsy.com. I'm excited to see how they do. I think they are super pretty and they remind me of being a small child and spending my rainy days with a coloring book. So without further ado... I present Crayon Rainbows...

I also have a bundle pack of these available in my shop at a 15% savings for buying all 4! Hopefully there will be more coming soon, I have plans for sets of frames, tags, and other elements.

Because a listing wouldn't be complete without a freebie! Here it is.

First Post...

Well, this has certainly been a long time coming. I decided to get back into graphic design after a many year hiatus. I'm also in the middle of some web design classes because while I love to design and I love to make graphics, I'm terrible with code. It's very sad actually. My mother is a computer programmer and she dreams in code I think. Me, I look at it and it reads like hieroglyphics to me. There was a day many years ago when all web coding was done in HTML. That's when I learned to do a bit of web design. Now when faced with CSS and XML, I'm having to start all over. I guess at least I still have the HTML foundation. I'm also new to Blogger, I've only used Wordpress before, and I can't say yet how this one is going to work for me. I've noticed that it's missing many of the plugins I'm used to... Can I just say Blogger really needs an ETSY gadget? So I guess as I get to know Blogger, and the world of web design, I'll update with my progress, and maybe throw in some graphic goodies along the way.
