Whipped up this Mini Kit for theStudio August 2011 Color Challenge. I loved working with this palette. I think this turned out really well. Enjoy!

A little peek at something new... and a Freebie!

I found inspiration in a pint of Neapolitan Ice Cream. Normally, I'm not a big strawberry ice cream fan, but after eating it and finding much enjoyment, I found this color palette. 

Which then led me to start digging through the patterned overlays I've been creating, and then onto some of the overlays I've collected. So after a day of playing with these beautiful colors, I was left with, 35... yes, 35, 12x12, 300DPI, digital scrapbook papers. 20 of which are patterned, 10 are solids and 5 are cardstock.

Yikes... I'm in love with the colors and the way the papers turned out though. I'm listing them in my Etsy Store as I'm typing this blog. All three are available, if you'd like to purchase all three as a bundle, message me and I'll happily make a special listing.

Now I just need to find the motivation to craft the elements to go with these and make it a complete kit!!

I also have an extra patterned paper that I used for the background in my previews, I'd like to offer that here for free. Hopefully you like it!!

Kiss From a Rose Mini Kit Freebie!!

I was working on the challenges at Digiridoo Scraps yesterday and saw the color challenge, and decided it was a good way to challenge myself to design a mini kit. The colors were wonderful to work with and I think the kit turned out pretty good. I'm offering it here for download, it's a full size kit and everything has been quality checked. I'm currently working as a guest creative team member for her for the next couple of months, and I must say her kits are amazing!! Did I say amazing, they are exquisite! It's READY!

The Just Breathe kit is finally finished. What started as a "mini-kit" turned into 12 papers, 41 elements and a full alphabet. Woo. Everything has been quality checked, and I must say that I'm quite pleased with how it turned out. So here's a preview of the kit for you. 

I will be posting it for sale later this evening. I'll let you know where as soon as it's done. I'll also be posting a free cluster here that matches.

Sneak Peek Preview!!

The new kit is just about finished! It's going through some final checking now, but I'm so excited I just had to share. Here's a little sneak peek of the finished kit.

As you can see it has 8 coordinated papers, 2 solids, 4 patterned and 2 glittered! 40 elements to decorate to your hearts desire and a full alpha including capital letters, lowercase letters, numbers and some symbols.

Just Breathe...

I'm currently working on designing my first digital scrapbooking kit. I just finished a sample layout with the kit as it is so far, and I'm really pleased with how it is turning out. I can't wait to get it all finished. I joined Amanda Rockwell's Designer Studio, and I'm so impressed with all of the tutorials and information on how to design all the pieces that go into a digi kit. If you are thinking about getting into designing either for yourself or to start your own digi scrap store, I highly recommend this site. Without further ado... here's the first layout from what is going to become the very first KC Leigh Designs mini kit.

I'm still here...

Sorry I haven't posted anything new lately. I'm still around but I have a little boy who has bronchitis and I myself have come down with a touch of a cold. I've been doing some digiscrapping in my free time, trying to learn the processes behind the art. I am really enjoying committing my memories to "paper" and seeing the finished project. It's truly an art form. There are so many talented scrappers out there, I'm sure my work will look novice and totally inferior, but the only way to learn is to do, right? Crayon Rainbows! My first Digiscrapping Paper Packs!
